Diaper Cake - Silent Auction Item

I just completed this diaper cake for the Angels for Crystal fundraiser happening tomorrow, June 15th from 11am to 10pm. It will be auctioned off in one of the two silent auctions. Knitting

I've been knitting for a couple of years, starting off with dishcloths and moving my way up into mittens, hats, baby booties, and baby sweaters. Here is a sampling of some of my work.

You can't really see what was knitted, but this was a baby sweater, hat and booties. I loved the ribbon I found to wrap it up with.

Marriage Toolkit - Wedding Shower Gift

I made this in the summer of 2012 for my friend's wedding shower present. I wanted something fun, different, and memorable! It also doubles as a toolkit for the couples first home together.

Miscellaneous Baskets

I created this basket for a co-worker who was off work after a nasty fall in the winter. It's full of her favourite snacks and some magazines for reading.

Wedding Baskets

Here are some gift baskets I created for wedding gifts. Towels were listed on the gift registries, but instead of just a boring wrapping paper job I decided to make them a little more special.

Toilet Paper Cake - Housewarming Present

A client asked me to come up with something fun and different for a housewarming present. I came up with this toilet paper cake, same idea as the diaper cake but made with rolls of toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and a toilet brush topper.

This diaper cake was made for a client who requested a blue and white colour scheme. In lieu of the toilet brush, I used a fun bright blue feather duster.

Baby Gift Baskets

I was approached by a client who loved my diaper cakes, but the new parents were not using disposable diapers. I was able to come up with this cute baby basket that included a mix of cloth diapers, organic cotton baby clothing, organic baby shampoo and lotion, and compostable baby wipes.
